Thank you to everyone who has shown an interest in the PdR Staff Hardship Fund, preliminary details of which were posted via FaceBook on Monday, 30th March. In case you didn't see the original post, this fund is being set up so that PdR residents and visitors can provide financial assistance to those working in the resort who have looked after us so well over the years but who are now suffering significant reductions in their incomes.
Over the last few days, I have been having discussions with Alan Westhead (golf club captain) and Susana Ribeira (resort manager), together with a number of others, and we have now worked out a way of collecting contributions. We are still finalising details of exactly how to distribute the funds, but we hope to have this finalised shortly. Many thanks to all those who have helped.
Rather than give out details publicly, I will message all those who have shown an interest in the fund, giving further details and specifically including the IBAN and BIC of the account to be used.
